Cashing in the cans

Today we cashed in the cans and received a grand total of $27.00 not really that bad for the little work involved with it.  With a few little tricks we have some ideas on how to collect more aluminum cans.

Well we decided to start our journey with a yard sale and clean up some of our clutter along the way.  We made a little over $500 for a couple of days work.  It was a lot of work and not any fun but we get to add that to the jar.  We also were taken out to dinner by my parents last night even though we planned on going out for a fast food meal so we get to add $20.00 to the jar. So now we only have $999,500.00 to go.

Well we are beginning are journey towards the million dollar mark by collecting aluminum cans.  I know it's a lot of work but it doesn't seem like many people are doing it anymore.  We hit the golf course last week and found a whole trash bag just in three trash cans.  Is it very fun to be digging through trash cans? NO, but who said this journey would be easy.  Cans are paying 63 cents a pound right now so we will see how much we get to add to the first penny
